Mediation Training
While external intervention is sometimes the only way forward, CiC also believes that businesses can reap significant benefits from having their own people trained in mediation. In this way, organisations can acquire and develop the capacity to resolve disputes autonomously, skills which can potentially yield savings in time, money and productivity. CiC offers a variety of courses, ranging from basic mediation skills to full professional training.
CiC's experienced trainers also offer interactive awareness seminars on workplace conflict, which address a variety of issues including differing conflict resolution styles, the predispositions and social preferences underlying those styles and alternative conflict handling approaches.
Courses
Professional Workplace Mediation Skills
A comprehensive six day mediation training designed for individuals wishing to develop and offer professional-level mediation skills. Delivered by CiC in association with Scotcoach.
Created specifically for the workplace setting and utilising a blend of interactive role play, peer coaching and case-study based discussion, the course provides a comprehensive skills training for anyone wishing to gain competency in mediating workplace conflict – either as part of an internal mediation team or as an independent professional. The teaching style is highly experiential and encompasses elements of both a problem solving and transformative approach.
This course has been accredited by the Mediators' Institute of Ireland (MII) – The only independent professional body presently accrediting mediation training in Europe.
Participants will receive a Certificate in Professional Workplace Mediation Skills. This course is also eligible for 49 professional development hours (PDHs) through the International Employee Assistance Certification Commission (EACC) on application.
